This 2024 ARCOmadrid celebrates its 43rd edition with a program focused on the Caribbean and a selection of projects presented by 207 galleries from 36 countries.

An edition only slightly diminished compared to the previous one, specifically four galleries and one country less.

Of the participating galleries 172 will be part of the General Program; 19 in the curated sections The Shore, the Tide, the Current: An Oceanic Caribbean; 16 in Opening and 12 in Never the Same. Latin American Art.

Spanish participation this year exceeds 35%, with a total of 73 galleries. And the international segment reaches 64% with 134 galleries, 30% of which are from Latin America, nine points more than in 2023, with 40 galleries from 13 countries, especially Argentina, Brazil and Mexico.

This is something crucial to clearly delimit the market niche; as the same organization acknowledges, “ARCOmadrid will continue to project its unique position as a Latin American reference in Europe”. Let’s hope this is part of the key to the success of the upcoming edition.

ARCOmadrid 2024 will be held from March 6 to 10 in pavilions 7 and 9 of IFEMA’s Fairgrounds, with the first three days dedicated exclusively to professionals, and from 3 p.m. on Friday the 8th it will open its doors to the general public.
