The exhibition “Diversity in the CAAC Collection: The Photographic Gaze of Alberto García-Alix”, curated by the renowned photographer himself, offers a deep visual reflection on identity and diversity through contemporary photography. Held at the Claustrón Norte of the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo (CAAC) in Seville, the show brings together a selection of works that reflect the plurality of voices and styles present in today’s photography.
García-Alix, known for his introspective approach and ability to capture the human essence, invites the audience to delve into a universe where intimate portraits and evocative landscapes combine to tell stories that resonate with the collective experience of modern society. The historical architecture of the CAAC, a former monastery, blends with the images, creating a dialogue between past and present that enriches the visitor’s experience.
Through this exhibition, viewers are invited to reflect on universal themes such as memory, transformation, and the richness of human diversity, encouraging us to question and value our differences, while highlighting photography as a powerful medium of artistic expression.
An exhibition that not only captivates visually but also fosters dialogue and reflection on the importance of diversity in contemporary art, which photography lovers can enjoy until May 25 of this year.
